The return process has been made as easy as possible for us. They even gave us the address of their representative in Germany, so we didn't have to send the ring to Bali. Very friendly and fast communication and the money was refunded promptly. I would love to shop there again sometime and can highly recommend this shop. Frequently asked questions
When can I expect my package to arrive?
All ready-stock items are shipped via registered mail by Indonesia Post within 3 working days of your purchase, excluding Balinese holidays as the post office is closed on those days.
Shipping to the US and Australia normally takes 3 to 5 business days, and to Europe and Canada it takes 3 to 5 business days as well. Around the holidays the shipping times may be a little longer.
Unless agreed otherwise, custom made items in sterling silver are made to order within 6 to 8 weeks of your purchase, and custom made jewelry in gold are made to order within 8 to 10 weeks of your purchase. Shipping times are similar to ready-stock items.
Gardens of the Sun is not responsible for items damaged or lost in transit.
What if I'm in a rush?
For faster shipping, please select the Express Shipping upgrade, which takes around 5 working days to destinations worldwide. This excludes any time the package may spend at customs. Please note that paying for expedited shipping does not mean that you will receive your goods the next day, as we are shipping halfway across the world!
For all international orders, the consumer is responsible for any tax and duty fees on orders required to go through customs.

What is the turnover time for custom orders?
For sterling silver jewelry the turnover time is 3 to 4 weeks. For solid gold jewelry the turnover time is 4 to 6 weeks.
This excludes any changes that need to be made if the piece is not yet fully your dream piece.
I strive to fulfill your order as timely as possible. However, due to the handmade nature of custom pieces I ask that all customers be aware of this production window.
Do you accept returns on ready stock items?
I want happy customers that love my jewelry! If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase for whatever reason, please contact me so we can work it out together.
I accept returns of ready stock items within 30 days of purchase date or within 7 days of receipt of product (whichever is longer). Your jewelry must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. This means in original packaging, free from scratches, blemishes, sizing or alterations, and without signs of wear or tear.
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
For reasons of hygiene I do not accept returns of earrings.
What is your return policy on custom orders?
Unfortunately, custom orders (including engraved pieces and special ring sizes) are non-refundable, but I do want you to be happy with your piece. If the item is damaged or we made a mistake, I will work with you to fix it.
As each piece is handmade to order, outside of repairs and issuing a claim for defect, I do not accept returns. However, if you need resizing, or need further work to perfection your custom order, I would be happy to work with you.

What if I need something changed on my order?
I work hard to process your orders as quickly as possible, in order to get them to you sooner. For this reason, I cannot make any changes to your order once it has been processed. If you need to make any changes or cancel your order please contact me as soon as possible at meri [!at] gardensofthesun.net I want your order to be perfect, so I will do my best to make your request happen.
There is a 24 hour time window for you to cancel your custom order. A bespoke piece is hand made especially for you, so once production starts it cannot be cancelled. For all sterling silver jewelry there is an $25 non-refundable deposit, and for solid gold jewelry there is an $100 non-refundable deposit. If you decide not to purchase your bespoke jewelry,
Sizing details
Your satisfaction is important to me! If you find your ring does not fit, you can return it and I will resize the ring for you. You just pay an $10 resizing fee for sterling silver rings (which includes shipping to get it back to you) to cover the cost of materials and return shipping. Not all rings can be resized due to the type of setting. In that case you may want to return the ring and exchange it for another one, or let me make your similar ring in your size. Questions? Is all your jewelry really handmade?
Sure is! I create my jewelry together with an amazingly skilled artisan silversmith. Even the packaging is handmade. I think the personal touch is one of the best things about Gardens of the Sun.
My jewelry broke :( Now what?
What a bummer! If your jewelry arrives in less than stellar condition due to mishandling during shipping or any mistakes in production, please contact me immediately at meri [!at] gardensofthesun.net. I will replace your jewelry at no cost as timely as I can.
If it broke due to a fault on your side, I'm still happy to help. You can always send it back to me for repairs. You will be charged for any materials, labour and shipping incurred.
I lost my earring. Can you replace a single earring?
Probably I can. If I have the right diamond or gemstones in stock you may purchase a single. My pieces are made by hand and often with uncut gemstones and, as a result, each piece will vary slightly in size, shape and color. In some cases, I will ask you to send the mate to us (at your cost) so I can better match it for you. The cost for one earring is typically half of the cost for the pair.
